New Chapter America is an education counseling agency. This page explains what that means.
We help with school selection, applications, admissions, and school-side enrollment. We are not an immigration law firm, do not give legal advice, do not prepare or file immigration forms, and are not affiliated with USCIS. Under California law, we do not act as immigration consultants.
We help you put together a complete application. Acceptance, prerequisites, transfer credits, scholarship awards, and I-20 issuance are decided solely by each school. We have no authority over those decisions.
Once your I-20 is issued, the visa filing step (DS-160, SEVIS fee, consular booking, and interview) is yours to complete. Visa decisions belong to U.S. consular officers. If your case involves a prior refusal, overstay, status violation, or another legal issue, we will refer you to an independent licensed U.S. immigration attorneyrather than guess..
When we introduce licensed U.S. immigration attorneys, housing services, or other providers, they operate as separate businesses. We do not take referral fees or kickbacks from attorneys. We do not supervise or assume responsibility for their advice, contracts, work, or fees.
Tuition figures, living costs, consular wait times, and government processing speeds change often. Numbers on this site or in conversation are planning estimates, not guarantees. This website and notice are governed by the laws of the State of California, with venue in Sacramento County.
