Arrival

Your first 30 days in the U.S. as an international student

Airport to first month — housing, banking, phones, and what an education agency can help with after you land.

6 min read

The month after the visa is the one students underestimate. Classes are only half the work; the other half is becoming functional in a new city.

Before you fly

Have a housing plan, a contact number, and late-night entry instructions if you need them. Know where you are sleeping the first night. Pack passport, I-20, proof of funds/address as your school advises, and enrollment confirmation.

The first week

Phones, banking, orientation, and grocery logistics eat more energy than students expect. We stay reachable for settling-in questions — there is no artificial “case closed” date on your file.

What we can and cannot arrange

We help with practical arrival support in our service scope (see Arrival & settling in). We do not replace your school’s international student office for immigration status questions, and we do not authorize employment.

If you are still deciding

Start with How it works or message us with your arrival city and school — even a tentative one.
