This guide is educational information, not legal advice. New Chapter America is an education counseling agency. We are not a law firm. Visa decisions belong to U.S. consular officers. No agency can guarantee a visa.
What “F-1 path” usually means for students
Most students we help are trying to enroll full time in a U.S. language school or academic program. The F-1 student visa is the common route for that. It depends on an I-20 issued by your school after admissions and funding checks.
A visitor (B-1/B-2) visa is for short trips such as tourism or family visits — not for full-time study. Confirm details with your school’s international office (DSO) or a licensed U.S. immigration attorney before you file anything.
What we do on the school side
- Help you choose a realistic program (language school, degree, or language-then-degree)
- Run admissions and enrollment follow-up with partner schools
- Coordinate so I-20 details match what you submitted
- Offer an optional educational practice interview so you can explain your plan clearly
- Introduce an independent licensed immigration attorney when a case needs legal help
What we do not do
- Prepare immigration forms or represent you before the government
- Decide legal eligibility or “coach” answers in a legal sense
- Guarantee a visa outcome
Rough timeline
From first message to travel, many students take three to six months. Start earlier if you can. Consular appointment waits vary by country. School applications and I-20 coordination often run six to ten weeks.
Next step
Tell us what you want to study and roughly when. We will say what is realistic on the school side — and when you should speak with an attorney instead.
